In 2007, I worked as a project manager for a major commercial construction company. My position afforded me a great salary and generous benefits. In a flash that all came to an end. Due to complications of Crohn’s Disease and neurological issues which came from a fall I suffered, I was forced to leave my job. Faced with a loss of income, a debilitating disease and an insurance company demanding mountains of paperwork I did not know where to turn. That’s when Alec stepped up and volunteered to represent me pro bono (without cost). Alec fought to get long term disability benefits for me so I could focus on battling my illness. For the last 9 years Alec has remained vigilant by ensuring the insurance company keep paying my benefits. And with any bump in the road Alec has stood with me to see it through.
